Safe Gatherings Launches new Website
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015
Safe Gatherings, which provides a comprehensive online system for abuse prevention, has relaunched its website, unveiling a new logo and exciting news about its updated offerings.
“For several years, we have focused on serving churches across the country, but our vision was always to help prevent abuse anywhere it can happen,” says Sharon Holt, president of Safe Gatherings. “We are excited to announce that we are ready to work with schools and organizations across the country to help prevent abuse, with specific training for those groups.”
The updated website features the company’s mission and vision, informative graphics to help users visualize the comprehensive system, and a compelling demo video to guide users through the process.
“Safe Gatherings helps protect our most vulnerable populations: children, youth, and vulnerable adults,” Holt said. “When organizations conduct background checks, seek references, and train staff and volunteers, they are better equipped to prevent abuse situations and respond quickly if an incident does happen. Safe Gatherings is ready to help.”

About Safe Gatherings
Safe Gatherings began in 2012 as a project to assist the Kansas East UMC Conference (now part of the Great Plains UMC Conference) in taking advantage of technology to automate their paper-intensive protection program. Fueled by a passion for protecting vulnerable populations, we created an online tool to streamline the process and make it easier for the Conference and the churches they serve — and in doing so launched Safe Gatherings. Safe Gatherings now serves more than 2,700 churches and organizations across 23 states.
In 2015, Safe Gatherings expanded to work with other organizations that serve children, youth, and vulnerable adults, such as schools and community organizations. www.safegatherings.com
