15-Year Anniversary of 9/11

Wednesday, September 14th, 2016

Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 was the 15-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City and beyond.

The day left us thinking about safety in general. As you enter your school, church, or organization, is safety on your mind? The nearly 3,000 victims of 9/11 were nearly all adults, either workers in the Twin Towers or the Pentagon, passengers on the planes, and the first-responders that so bravely were called to service. It was the worst attack on U.S. soil since the 1941 bombing of Pearl Harbor, and it resonates with us the same way it did on that day. Eight children died during the attack.

At Safe Gatherings, we believe that each life is sacred, but we especially fight for the children and youth of our nation: the vulnerable populations. Our vision is a world in which all children, youth, and vulnerable adults are protected and feel safe.
