We know it has been a difficult year and we want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are grateful for the work you have done and continue to do to ensure the safety of children, youth and vulnerable adults online and in person.

As you continue to equip and support leaders in your congregation we want to make sure you are aware of the recertification pathway that we’ve created specifically for individuals who have been certified and active for two or more years and who are in need of renewing their certification.

Once an individual’s certification expires, they are no longer approved for ministry with children, youth, and vulnerable adults in the Rio Texas Conference. Individuals who are approaching renewal can participate in the recertification process if it is completed within 1 year of their original certification expiration. After that point, the full certification process will be required of applicants attempting to renew.

You can find more information about recertification at riotexas.org/safesteps. You can also contact Tanya at any time with any questions or for help with the process.

Thank you for your ministry and continued commitment to this important work!

With gratitude,
The Trusted Training Team
